One of the things I didn’t get from Enterplay during our exclusive first look at the new cards for the upcoming My Little Pony Collectable Card Game was the theme packs that were teasing fans. Equestria Daily has provided the first look at two themes, one pack featuring Rarity and Rainbow dash while the other will feature Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, the latter theme will be a two player focused starter pack. Missing from the reveal is the AppleJack/Twilight Sparkle theme pack.
Theme packs will house a total of 59 cards, meaning the two player pack will house 118, mentioned on the packs are the usual foil cards and rule book.
According to the information obtained by Equestria Daily players can expect:
Single Theme Deck:
59 cards, Foil Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle, with two secondary ponies non foil (Rainbow Dash + Rarity, and Twilight and Applejack.)
2 Player Theme Deck:
Double the one above with Pinkie and Fluttershy as the main ponies.
The single theme will cost $10.99 while the 2-player starter set is set at $18.99. Single booster pack will have 12 cards in them, there is no price on single booster packs at the time of writing, but Enterplay has posted that a 3 pack booster pack set is available for $10.47 on their website.
Players can pre-order their packs now at the official Enterplay online store, there you can purchase a 36-pack booster card box, the box will cost $125.64.
In my interview with Enterplay they revealed a November 15th release for the game.
