As of December 1, 2009, the FTC requires bloggers to provide disclosures whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations. This means, if a writer received a review copy of a game, conducted an interview while grabbing a bite and the person caught the bill. If we receive promotional codes for giveaways, and so on, all items must be disclosed and will. While most products reviewed on OmniGamer are obtained at our own personal expense, we do receive advanced copies of games and products, and if reviewed (not every single thing we receive is reviewed), there will be a stamp below explaining what exactly the product is and where it came from. Even for games and products that the OmniGamer staff purchases out-of-pocket will be stamped.
